We have all been saddened to hear of the death of Norman Smart. Until illness prevented it Norman was a regular attender at Swansea Festival events and he generously sponsored many of our concerts.
A memorial service to celebrate Norman’s life took place on 3rd March 2016 in All Saints Church, Oystermouth. The service included a performance of movements from Ravel’s String Quartet, one of Norman’s favourite works and a fitting tribute to his love of music and generous support of the Festival.
