Catrin's huge success and popularity as a leading international ambassador for Wales and its national instrument are due to superlative technique,an astonishing range of repertoire and her engaging personality.

Her programme amply demonstrates the many facets of her musicianship: arrangements of Bach, Debussy and Smetana, pieces by composers who have explored the virtuosic possibilities of the harp and William Mathias' exhilarating Santa Fe Suite. To complete the Welsh-American connection, the recital features a new work commissioned by the Festival from Cardiff-born composer Ceiri Torjussen who now enjoys a successful film and media career in Los Angeles.
