Swansea International Festival

Primary Schools Music Festival

Come along and support the talent of tomorrow on 15 October when Swansea Primary School pupils present their very own Primary Schools Music Festival as part of Swansea International Festival.

Earlier this year, n association with Swansea Schools Music Unit, Primary Schools from all across the City were invited to enter the Festival by sending in a recording or video of their particular performance – and performances could include instrumental ensembles, choirs, and musical theatre groups.

From the entries, ten schools were chosen to perform on the magnificent Brangwyn Hall stage – the venue that has seen the world’s largest and most celebrated orchestras as well as singers including Katherine Jenkins and Cerys Matthews.  The Hall has even featured in some of the Doctor Who series!

The schools which were chosen to take part are:

Oystermouth Primary – Orchestra
St. Thomas Community Primary – Choir
Llanrhidian Primary – Woodwind Ensemble
Gowerton Primary – Folk Group
St. Joseph’s Cathedral Primary – Choir
Parkland Primary – Orchestra
Cwm Glas Primary – Choir
Llangyfelach Primary – Guitar Group
